About Jens Gjerlev

Jens Gjerlev has experience as Navigation and PBN Manager for WIDERØE in Norway. WIDERØE serves the demanding network of stolports along the Norwegian coast with a fleet of De Havilland Dash-8 turboprop aircraft. WIDERØE has been a first mover in PBN applications: GPS approaches were introduced in 2003, and in 2007 WIDERØE began to fly GLS procedures as the first in the world.

Jens holds Danish and FAA Dispatcher licences, and has held a CPL with Dash-8 privileges. Jens flew many of the engineering test flights in the pre-implementation phase of the SCAT-I GLS system.

He is a qualified ICAO flight procedures specialist, and is an advisor to ICAO's Instrument Flight Procedures Panel.

Jens is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and has an MA in the humanities and an MBA in finance.
